McDonalds
I currently work at the McDonalds located on Sportsworld Drive. I just started this job and I am very excited to begin working. McDonalds is my first job and I hope I can keep it for as long as I need to.
I am currently a grade 10 student at Preston High School. In my 12 years of schooling, so far I have managed to keep my grades above average with the help of my smart and talented teachers, family members, and friends. In 2008 I received an award called the Merit Award. The Merit Award is an award given to a student based on academic achievements and demonstrated talent. I believe I got this award because even as a young student, I strived for the best and people noticed. In 2011 I received another award which was a Certificate of Proficiency. The Certificate of Proficiency was given to me based on my overall good grades and wonderful work ethic. I really do believe that if you work hard enough in school, you’ll see results. I plan to continue my schooling and hopefully get into my university of choice (University of Guelph) next year or the year after.
*SCHOOL FUN FACT*
I have always been much more interested in arts classes (music, drama, art, etc…) rather than things like math and English (even though I have
pretty standard grades throughout). Ever since grade 3 I’ve been in plays at school, as well as in bands, and in art classes. While I enjoy school for the most part, being in arts classes is where you’ll find me happiest. I do the best in classes that I find interesting, which is why I do so well in art classes. I love drama because I’m very outgoing, funny, and I love to perform in front of people. I love music because I’m very loud, I like being different, and I can’t go a day without listening to music. And finally, I love art because ever since I was young I’ve been sketching horses, flowers, and pretty much everything else you can think of, and frankly… I think I’m pretty good at it (no bragging intended).
